Thoughts on Chai and the 18th Anniversary of 9/11

18 means life in Jewish culture. Today, on the 18th anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, the number brings up many emotions, many questions about life.
Standing in the shadow of that horrific day, steeped in memories, saddened by the senselessness, Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey honors those who perished, those who rushed to help, and all their loved ones. We remain steadfast in convening the Jewish community along with partners from the interfaith and civic realms to fuel platforms and programs fostering peace, fighting hate, and making the heart of NJ a secure, supportive, and sustainable community for all.
