Tax-Smart Ways to Support Jewish Community Through Federation

There are currently a number of ways you can increase your charitable impact while potentially reducing your taxable income. These include the following.

TAX-SMART WAYS TO SUPPORT JEWISH COMMUNITY THROUGH FEDERATION:

  • Satisfy an IRA required minimum distribution (RMD)
  • Donate appreciated securities - stocks, bonds, or mutual funds
  • Bunch charitable contributions in one tax year
  • Establish a donor advised fund (DAF)
  • Offset taxes from a Roth IRA conversion
  • Establish a charitable trust
  • Name Federation as a designated beneficiary 

IMPORTANT DATES TO GIVE BEFORE THE END OF 2024.

  • MAKE A SECURE ONLINE DONATION WITH A CREDIT CARD BEFORE 11:59 PM DEC. 31, 2024.
  • CALL US AT 732.588.1800 AND SPEAK TO A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM BY 4:00 PM DEC. 31, 2024 WITH YOUR DONATION INFORMATION.
  • MAIL A CHECK DATED NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 31, 2024.

$18 - 3 Kosher Meals on Wheels for an elderly person in need
$60 - 1 year of PJ Library storybooks and music inspiring children to create a strong Jewish future
$180 - 1 session of mental health counseling for a traumatized teen in a war-torn part of Israel
$360 - 4 hours of an armed security guard to protect a local Jewish institution 
$540 - 10 hours manning a helpline for students who have experienced antisemitism in school 
$1000 - Summer camp grant for a child to make happy, lasting Jewish memories  and friendships
