OU’s Teach NJS Seeks to Double Security Funding For Kids in Jewish Schools

The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey partners with the Orthodox Union (OU) to advance the Teach NJS initiative, which seeks to secure more state funding for security in private and parochial schools.

For those who are inclined, Teach NJS shared the following call-to-action urging Governor Murphy and the New Jersey State government to support more security funding for our children.

In a statement issued yesterday, Teach NJS said: Considering the tragedy in Pittsburgh, we need to redouble our efforts to protect our Jewish institutions. In New Jersey, we have the opportunity to increase security funding for our day schools and yeshivot in this school year. We as a community now have an opportunity to ensure that our schools are safer in these troubled times. Please take one minute to call Governor Murphy's office and ask him to support S.3080 and A.4597.

Teach NJS provided this link as a direct way to communicate with elected officials, if you are inclined support the increase of funding in these schools.
