One out of 4 American women can’t afford monthly menstrual supplies, which creates barriers to work, social life, and school. Jewish Federation is partnering with Dignity Grows to fill this gap in the human services safety net. On Monday, May 5, a group of Federation volunteers convened at Monmouth Reform Temple to pack 500 bags of hygiene supplies to donate to those living in period poverty. In total, Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey has packed over 2,300 bags in the past two years! We thank Monmouth Reform Temple for hosting us.
