Dr. Debórah Dwork, Founding Director of the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University and Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at the Ralph Bunche Institute, The Graduate Center – CUNY, joins Chhange for a commemoration of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Our keynote, Dr. Dwork, will speak about her new project, Saints and Liars, a book about Americans who traveled to Europe to aid and rescue people targeted by Germany and its allies. Who were these Americans who saw the possibility for action while everyone else saw none?

Chhange’s annual Yom HaShoah Commemoration includes music provided by the Marlboro High School Choir & Quartet. Chhange commemorates the Holocaust with a candlelighting ceremony led by local Holocaust Survivors. Survivors are accompanied by service members from Naval Weapons Station Earle.

We invite Holocaust Survivors, their families, student groups, college students, and the public to attend this commemorative program on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
