Presenter: John Kenrick
It's St. Patrick's Day, and Theater Historian John
Kenrick pulls back the curtain to explain how it took
director John Ford more than a decade to make this film,
much of which was filmed on location in Ireland. Newly
restored film clips and behind-the-scenes tales of John
Wayne, Maureen O'Hara and the mostly Irish cast make
for a joyous look back at Hollywood's Golden Age.
John Kenrick is an American author, teacher and film historian. He is an
adjunct teacher of musical theatre history at New York University and
The New School and lectures frequently on the subject elsewhere.
