The Henry Ricklis Holocaust Memorial Commitee and the Human Relations Council of Monroe Township will be commemorating Yom HaShoah on April 28, 2024 at the Monroe Township Senior Center at 2:00 PM. The theme of this year's Yom HaShoah is "Remembering the Holocaust and Honoring Our Survivors". Holocaust Survivors Paul Beller and Bill Schwimmer will be our keynote speakers. Poet, author, and Holocaust Survivor Judith Sherman will recite an original poem. One of the winners of the Monroe Township High School Holocaust Essay Contest will read his/her winning essay. There will be a processional of Survivors as well as a candle lighting ceremony. Rabbi Polin of Congregation Etz Chaim will be introducing the speakers and reciting Kaddish. Mayor Dalina will be reading a Proclamation and addressing antisemiism. Thank you for puttig this event on your calendar.
