Meet Mary Morris author of Gateway to the Moon

From award-winning novelist Mary Morris, Gateway to the Moon is a vivid novel that travels from 15th Century Spain when Jews and Muslims were forced to convert or be expelled, to 20th Century Entrada de Luna in New Mexico. There, Spanish Catholic residents light Friday night candles and do not eat pork, despite their lack of awareness of their religious heritage. What is it like to leave everything behind? Mary Morris is a professor of creative writing and the author of The Jazz Palace, A Mother’s Love, and House Arrest. She received the Rome Prize for Literature and the Anisfield-Wolf Award for Fiction.
