Florenz Ziegfeld:
The Man Who Redefined Broadway
Presenter: John Kenrick
Florenz Ziegfeld, was a Chicago
promoter who parlayed his marketing
innovations and extraordinary taste to "glorify
the American Girl" in his legendary Follies.
Popularly known as Flo Ziegfeld, he was an
American Broadway impresario, notable for
his series of theatrical revues, the Ziegfeld
Follies (1907–1931), inspired by the Folies
Bergère of Paris. He also produced the
musical Show Boat. John Kenrick shares rare
videos and delightful backstage anecdotes to
bring this often misunderstood genius and his
lost era to life.
