The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County presents Finding Rainbows - performed by piano and vocal duet Dorothy Dobkowski and Justin Ryan, on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 2 PM. Admission is $10 members, $12 non-members.

Join vocalist Dorothy Dobkowski as she explores songs written and influenced by Jewish composers. These songs offer a rainbow of musical styles including musical theater, jazz, folk, pop, and music from the stage and screen.

Dorothy Dobkowski is a local vocalist and actor. She is thrilled to be back at the Jewish Heritage Museum where she has performed with Oasis Players as well as “Alla Axelrod and Friends.” Dorothy has performed with Shakespeare Theatre of Summer Professional Training Program, Montclair Operetta Club, and Spotlight Players. She is looking forward to her future life role as Mrs. Ryan coming soon in 2020!

Justin M. Ryan, local composer, teacher, and musical director, is delighted to be back at the Jewish Heritage Museum, having been here before with “Alla Axelrod and Friends” and Oasis Players. He and Dorothy have done duet performances together at the Old Bridge Business Alliance Leadership Forum and at New York’s Stonewall Inn. Justin’s two original full-length musicals co-written with Clifford Greene, “The Choir Room” (2015) and “A Soldier’s Wife” (2017), premiered at Spotlight Players. His instrumental variations, “Relaxation Nation,” “Lullaby Classics,” “Children’s Fun Time Silly Songs,” and others can be found on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube: bassofvibes.

This program is made possible in part by the Monmouth County Historical Commission through funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
