The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will expand its hours and remain open to the public on six Wednesday evenings during July and August, from 6 PM to 9 PM, with various programs offered at 7 PM.

For the third program of the summer series, the Museum will present Faces of Genius: Jewish Nobel Prize Laureates in Science and Medicine Including Arthur Ashkin, 2018 Nobel Prize Winner in Physics, a PowerPoint presentation from the Museum’s Speakers Bureau, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at 7 PM. Admission is $5, students free.

Jews number less than 0.2% of the world’s population yet comprise 22% of all Nobel Prize winners. Faces of Genius is a PowerPoint slide show celebrating ten of these brilliant Jewish American Nobel Laureates. This talk, originally produced in 2015, has been revised to include information on Dr. Ashkin. He and his wife, Aline, are long-time residents of Rumson and members of The Jewish Heritage Museum.

This program is made possible in part by the Monmouth County Historical Commission through funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

For more information or to make a paid reservation (non-refundable), call the Museum at 732-252-6990, or visit jhmomc.org/events. Maximum capacity is 100, so paid reservations are recommended.
