Eric Mayer along with his sister and brother lived through the Nazi terror of Kristallnacht in Worms, Germany as children. Afterward, they were sent to France where they were hidden from the German occupying forces for the remainder of the war. However, far from hiding, Mr. Mayer joined the French Resistance as a courier and continued to fight Nazi oppression from afar.
Mr. Mayer hopes his story teaches people “that you have to take a stand.”
He is a role model of how a boy stood up against the impossible and how as a man he continues to do his best to make sure that none of us ever forgets.
