Neve Shalom proudly presents Kenny Ellis as the featured performer on June 2, 2019 at 7 PM for the 29th annual Susy Schwartz Memorial Scholarship Fund Benefit Concert. The Philadelphia-bred Ellis spent many years on stages in the Catskills, New York City's clubs and up and down the East Coast before becoming a California cantor, and will bring a Catskills-style evening to Neve Shalom. The show supports Neve Shalom's "Passport to Israel" program, which provides each of the shul's B'nai Mitzvot with a voucher worth $2,000 for a trip to Israel with an educational component. Approximately 140 students have redeemed their vouchers for such trips since the program began. General admission is $25, children under 12 @ $12. Patron @ $100 and Benefactor @ $200 opportunities are available, with benefits including preferred seating and name in program.
