Our guest author, Uwe Westphal, wrote Fashion Metropolis Berlin 1836 – 1939: The Story of the Rise and Destruction of the Jewish Fashion Industry. He will discuss the little-known history of Berlin as a fashion capital and how the Nazis forced many to flee. This event will be moderated by journalist Jennifer Altmann, whose grandfather ran one of Berlin's fashion houses and escaped to NYC.
