Professor Jack Needle narrates the essential details of Philip Roth's life and invites discussion of his great literary works.
Roth, who died in May, was considered a giant of American fiction, and received the Pulitzer prize in 1997.

This lecture is part of a series launched by the Adult Education Committee of CBI to focus on selected Jewish novelists who received the Pulitzer Prize. You are invited to participate in a Congregational Read of "Nemesis", Roth's poignant account of the Polio epidemic in the US, published in 2010. CBI's Rabbi Goldberg will speak about the novel on Friday evening, November 30.
