This fall, Neve Shalom continues last year’ program of new and high-quality curriculum about Jewish music created by the Milken Archive and the UCLA School of Music. Hazzan Sheldon Levin will present new material on Zoom - including videos and audio examples of different styles and periods of Jewish music. Your input will be sought and questions will be answered. Classes include:
• October 13 Composer Ernst Bloch
• October 20 Music of Leonard Bernstein
• October 27 Music Through the Holocaust
• November 3 Jews and Jazz
• November 10 Jews and Jazz continued
• November 17 New Music from Israel and American Jews.
Classes will only be on line or by phone. Please register so we can send you materials and contact information.
