The Young Israel of East Brunswick’s “Yom Hashoah Program” will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 5, 2016. The program will include a candle lighting to honor victims and survivors and feature speeches by two Holocaust survivors: Rachel Sambul, a Polish Jew who fled with her family to Russia and endured horrific conditions in Siberia, and Saul Graf, a Hungarian Jew who was transported to Auschwitz in 1944 and also survived other labor camps.
