Talking about physical health has always been a part of life in the Jewish community. From Moses’ plea of El na refa na la when his sister Miram became ill through the American stereotype of the Jewish doctor, physical health and the quest for it has been open and acknowledged. The same is not true of mental health, which has become stigmatized and often ignored in the Jewish community. Join us as we speak openly about this often shunned topic, create a safe place for discussion and provide a Jewish guide and lens for engaging with mental health topics.
