The group that we know as “The Rat Pack” was started by Humphrey Bogart. It was originally called “The Clan”. It was made up of Hollywood stars who liked to party.

Because Sinatra was friendly with Bogart, Sinatra was invited to become a member. When Bogart retired as leader of “The Clan” Sinatra took over and shortly changed the name of the group to “The Rat Pack”.
