PRESENTER: EDWARD MALBERG
With a new president about to take office, let's examine the few presidencies that actually changed the way America works, generally by expanding participation in American political life. From that prospective, we'll look at the expansions wrought by Washington, Jefferson, Jackson, Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson and Obama. Like them or not, these men made a difference.
Edward Malberg is an adjunct assistant professor of history at Raritan Valley Community College and a popular instructor at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University (OLLI-RU). A graduate of Rutgers University, he holds a masters' degree from the University of Kentucky and completed doctoral studies at Northwestern University in American history.
Mr. Malberg has lectured or taught courses on American Jewish history, US military history, various aspects of American political and economic history, Israel, anti-Semitism and American slavery.
