The River City Bones was formed in 2000, to support the “Arts Program for Local Talent” held that year in Manchester Township, New Jersey. Since then, the group – comprised of Jack Smyth, tenor trombone; Al Lubchansky, tenor; Todd Gagnon, tenor; and Ed Herbert, Jr., bass trombone -- has performed at various venues in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, including schools, libraries, senior facilities, and houses of worship. Their repertoire includes a wide selection of music including popular, Broadway, Yiddish theater, marches, and classical. Imagine your Jewish favorites played by a quartet of trombones! Not something you hear everyday!
