New York is the most powerful city on Earth. It is also one of the most vulnerable cities in the world. During World War II New York City was a target for the Japanese and the Germans. More than 800,000 New Yorkers served in the Armed Forces during World War II.

Some of the topics that will be discussed include the German American Bund, the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary Troopships, the Stage Door Canteen, Rosie the Riveter, Camp Shanks and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
