Two uplifting documentaries will be shown: At 11am--50 children--In the spring of 1939, Gilbert and Eleanor Kraus embarked on a risky and unlikely mission. Traveling to the heart of Nazi Germany they rescued 50 Jewish children and brought them to the US. Starring Alan Alda and others. Followed by a light brunch. After lunch--Rescue in the Philippines--The moral courage of an influential few in the Philippines saved the lives of 1300 Jewish men, women, and children in Nazi Europe in the days leading to WWII. A survivor, now living in NJ will be our guest. This film is narrated by Liev Schreiber.
