She was the first internationally known Jewish female performer, and Picon also starred on radio and TV, on Broadway and in motion pictures. Presenter Marcia Midler is a Cornell graduate who holds a doctorate in English from Rutgers. She taught at University College, Rutgers before leaving academia for a corporate career at AT&T and Telcordia. Dr. Midler is a resident of Regency at Monroe, and is the co-founder of News and Views, the community's current events group.
