On Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 2:30 PM to 4 PM, the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will be hosting Make Your Own Bagels, a bagel-making demonstration and hands-on-bagels making for children ages seven and up. The fee is $5.00 per child. Due to limited space, reservations are strongly suggested. Please note that the bagels will not be kosher.
Children will learn about the history of bagel making from Mr. Dean Ross, a Jewish Heritage Museum trustee, and the owner of Hole in One Bagel. The process of bagel making from start to finish will be explained, and children will have hands-on experience working with bagel dough. Each participant will go home with bagels and a new found appreciation for how they are made. This event will be held at: Hole in One Bagel, 3701 Hwy 33 (Jumping Brook Plaza), Neptune, NJ 07753. This location is handicapped accessible, and has a restroom for public use.
