On Sunday, December 4, the Men’s Club of the East Brunswick Jewish Center is putting on a program that will discuss Israel as a source of creative positive energy.  Israel leads the world in technological innovation per capita. It is second in the world only to Silicon Valley in its concentration of high tech startup companies.  Leading US high tech firms, such as Intel and Apple have chosen to locate R&D in Israel to take advantage of its unique skills.  It did not have an abundance of raw materials to jump start its economy.  Despite a lack of water, it has devised innovative ways to grow plants with drip irrigation and has a thriving agricultural export business.  We will have a panel discussion to explore how the small state of Israel managed to turn its adversities into sustained technical and economic accomplishments.
