PRESENTER: RICHARD FERRIS
In opera couples fall in love in the blink of an eye. Sometimes characters die with excruciating slowness. We have troubled men and the women who save them, a mysterious woman who has lived for centuries, love between a husband and wife under the most difficult circumstances. Time and emotion are often connected in opera and this fascinating relationship exists in some of the most popular works in the repertoire.
This program will feature compositions by Dvorak, Janacek, Massenet, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Wagner and others.
