Dr. Ora Horn Prouser, executive vice president and academic dean at The Academy for Jewish Religion, will speak throughout the Shabbaton on a variety of subjects including , Esau’s Blessing: How the Bible Embraces Those with Special Needs (the title of her book), Disturbing Biblical Texts: Challenges and Opportunities, and The Origins of Havdalah in the Book of Esther. Dr. Horn Prouser will speak following Shabbat dinner (there is a cost of the dinner, but no fee for the post-dinner talk), Shabbat morning and Shabbat afternoon.
