FleytMuzik is a traditional klezmer ensemble that moves the soul, delights the spirit, and
amazes the listener with unmatched technical prowess and soulful musicianship. For one
magical musical evening, the FleytMuzik ensemble will perform selections from the
Dubiecko Klezmorim, founded back in Poland by the grandfather of HPCT-CAE member
Milton Frant. The Dubiecko repertoire has been brought back to life by Adrianne Greenbaum, the
founder and leader of FleytMuzik. Adrianne Greenbaum is a nationally acclaimed klezmer and classical flutist. She has been on the faculties of KlezKamp, KlezKanada, and Boxwood, and was a premier participant with FleytMuzik at the Vienna KlezMore Festival. She will perform with the internationally acclaimed Jake Shulman-Ment (fiddle), Peter Rushefsky (cimbalom), Brian Glassman (string bass) and Michael Alpert (percussion). Pre-Concert Discussion with Sharon Frant-Brooks at 7 PM – included with concert ticket Sharon Frant-Brooks, daughter of Milton Frant, will give a personal account of her efforts to bring the sounds of her great-grandfather’s band, the Dubiecko Klezmorim, back to life in Dubiecko Poland, the very place where the band was silenced by the Nazis in the Shoah.
